我们总是觉得自己的时间还有很多，奋斗留给以后，现在却已经开始享受生活或是颓废人生。而当一生的时间被分成几件事一项一项地统计出来，你才会惊觉，花在看电视刷朋友圈的时间居然有9年，坐车上下班的时间也要花2.5年那么久，而留给自己的时间也只有短短9年而已。所以，花几分钟看完这个视频，然后就放下手机，去做些有意义的事情吧！

When asked "what's the biggest mistake we make in life?"
佛祖会回答
the Buddha replied
最大的错误就是误以为我们还有时间
The biggest mistake is you think you have time
时间是免费的但同时也是无价的
Time is free but it's priceless
你不能拥有它 但你可以使用它
You can't own it but you can use it
你不能保留它 但你可以花费它
You can't keep it but you can spend it
一旦从你的指尖流去 你就再也无法挽回它
And once it's lost you can never get it back
一般人可以拥有78年的时间
The average person lives 78 years
我们花在睡觉上的时间有28.3年
We spend twenty eight point three years of our lives sleeping
这几乎占据了我们生活三分之一的时间
That's almost a third of our life
但我们中还有30%的人很难睡个好觉
but thirty percent of us struggle to sleep well
我们花在工作上的时间有10.5年
We spend ten point five years of our life working
但我们中有超过50%的人想要离开自己现在的工作
but over 50% of us want to leave our current jobs
时间比金钱要珍贵得多
Time is more valuable than money
你可以赚更多的钱 当你无法得到更多的时间
You can get more money but you can never get more time
我们花在看电视和社交媒体上的时间有9年
We spent nine years on TV and social media
我们花在做家务的时间上有6年
We spend six years doing chores
我们花在饮食方面的时间有4年
We spend four years eating and drinking
我们花在教育上的时间有3.5年
We spent three and a half years in education
我们花在修饰自己的时间上有2.5年
We spent two and a half years grooming
我们花在购物上的时间有2.5年
We spent two and a half years shopping
我们花在照顾孩子的时间上有1.5年
We spent one and a half years in childcare
我们花在坐公交车上下班的时间也有1.5年
and we spent one point three years commuting
而剩下的留给我们自己的时间只有九年了
That leaves us with nine years
我们将如何度过这段时间？
How will we spend that time?

Steve Jobs said your time is limited so don't waste it living someone else's life
有一个好消息和一个坏消息
So there's good news and there's bad news
坏消息是时间飞逝而过 而好消息是我们可以做自己时间的领航员
The bad news is time flies,the good news is you're the pilot
想象一下你每天醒来的时候在你的银行账户会有86,400美元
Imagine you wake up every day with 86,400 dollars in your bank account
到了晚上结束的时候 不管你是否花费了它 这个钱都会消失
and at the end of the night it's all gone whether you spent it or not
而到了第二天你又会有新的一笔86,400美元
And then the next day you get another 86,400 dollars
我们会怎么做呢？
What would we do with it?
每天都会有86,400秒被存入你的生活账户中
Every day 86,400 seconds are deposited into your life account
在一天结束的时候它们都被用完而你又得到一个新的86,400秒
At the end of the day once they're all used up you get an new 86,400 seconds
如果它是钱的话我们绝对不会浪费它
We would never waste it if it was money
那为什么当它是时间的时候我们就要浪费它呢？
so why do we waste it when it comes to time?
这些时刻远远比金钱更有分量
Those seconds are so much more powerful than dollars
因为你总是能赚到更多的钱
because you can always make more dollars

you can't always make more time

and to realize the value of a milisecond

我们认为是别人在浪费我们的时间
We think that it's people wasting our time
但实际上是我们允许他们这么做的
but it's really us giving them the permission to do that
事实上这两种人都活在我们每个人的内心里
and in reality these two people live inside us
不要让别人成为你的首要任务 你对他们只是一个选择而已
Don't let someone be a priority when all you are to them is an option
我们中一些人失去了对我们来说重要的人 因为没有珍惜他们的时间
Some of us lose the people most important to us because we don't value their time
我们中的一些人意识不到对自己来说很重要的人 直到他们离去
Some of us don't recognize how important someone is to us until they're gone
我们内心总是会有两个声音
Inside all of us are two voices
一个声音在说 我想要提升自己
One voice that wants to uplift
我想要充实自己
One voice that wants us to expand
我想要让自己成长
One voice that wants us to grow
而另一个声音却在说
and then there's the other voice
我想要退缩
The voice that holds us back
我想要偷懒
The voice that makes us lazy
我已经对自己很满意了
The voice that makes us complacent
这是个想要限制我们潜能的声音
The voice that restricts us from our potential
每一天 从我们醒来的那一刻到我们晚上入睡的那一刻
Every day from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep
在我们的内心一直有这两种声音在做斗争
inside of us there's this battle between the two voices
猜一下哪个声音赢了？
And guess which one wins?
我们听从的最多的那个声音
The one that we listen to the most
我们自己将它养着
The one that we feed

The one that we amplify

It is our choice of how we use our time

Life and time are the best two teachers

Life teaches us to make good use of time

and time teaches us the value of life
